Arabic And Quran
The Quran and Islamic studies program aims to instil Islamic knowledge, values, and habits in the children.
It includes memorisation of Surahs from the 30th Juz of the Quran as well as verse by verse translation. We prepare them to read the Quran by learning the Arabic alphabet and introductory Tajweed (rules of recitation).
The class also covers Islamic etiquettes such as the Sunnah method of Wudhu (ablution), and Salah (prayer). The basics of faith-such as the pillars of iman, and Islamic to moral and manners, Islamic celebrations, prophets and role models as well as ethics sand how to develop a positive sense of identity. This includes small duas from the Sunnah of the Prophet for daily activities. Islamic history is also taught in this class, covering topics such as the Seerah (biography of the Prophet Muhammad) and stories of the sahaba (companions of the Prophet).
